Needle in a haystack

January 12, 2011

For the past one hour, I am scavenging through my parents’ special inbox – created specifically to cater to my matrimonial ad they took out in a newspaper. So many dudes and their pics and their bio-data-s. My eyes hurt and my head hurts and my conscience would have probably hurt too from too much judging had it been unaware that I am being judged too on some computer screen somewhere.

Is this the way people find people with whom they are supposed to spend their entire lives together?

This is fucking bullshit.

PS: How long do you think before I see an ad for grooms wanting grooms? This lifetime?

Matchmaking online is similar to job hunting online.; always on the lookout for the best fit living in the illusion that you can always find a better profile. In the end, we are all shallow; judging people on even shallower parameters like physical appearance, wealth building capabilities & family wealth. There is no sanctity in this search; it’s just a means to an end.

Grooms for Grooms? Better check the Pink Papers! 🙂
